MimetikOss Granules replicates the composition and structure of the mineral phase of the bone​. MimetikOss is designed by dental and orthopaedic surgeons, researchers in Tissue Engineering. MimetikOss Granules is the first and only synthetic bone graft that allows the rapid creation of a highly vascularized bone tissue, while integrating extremely well with the surrounding soft tissue, due to its nano-, micro- and macro-porosity. It preserves bone volume and activates natural bone regeneration. MimetikOss covers the most common indications up to the most challenging ones.

Complex extraction with immediate implant placement and regeneration with MimetikOss.

Extraction of 46 was required due to recurrent fracture of the crown. The extraction was complex and left a large bone defect. Bone regeneration is required to place and stabilize a new implant. In one surgical session, the following steps have been performed: 1.Extraction of the molar in position 46 and 2. Placement of an implant along with a bone graft. Follow-up was performed at 4 and 12 months post-op.

No adverse event was observed. The radiographic assessment done 1 month after the surgery shows good osseointegration with implant stability. The radiographic assessment done at 12 months demonstrates that bone level and osseointegration are maintained.Quick and effective bone regeneration with good osseointegration is observed around the implant, even if this one was anchored in only 3 mm of bone. Bone level is maintained during the 12 months of follow-up.

Maxillary sinus lift with existing perforation of the Schneider membrane.

Opening of the flap shows the existing perforation in the maxillary sinus with epithelial remnants of old infections. Follow up was done 3 months and 36 months post-implantation. No adverse event was observed. The radiographic assessment done at 7 and 36 months showed that bone level and osseointegration were maintained. Sinus floor reconstruction and bone regeneration with MimetikOss followed by the placement of two implants 7 months after the bone grafting procedure.
